Create a new Project Space

Creating new projects and the Project Space administration is generally only possible if you have the PM Professional license. You find information regarding your license on the "Start" page at "My profile". If you do not find the "PM Professional" license there, please contact our Sales or Support Team.


Create a new project with the following steps:


To set up the project structure you have to create a folder structure and groups in the next step.

  1. Click on "Create new project" on the start page.
  2. In the following Project Wizard choose, whether you like to start with an "Empty Template" or with a "Template" (e.g. if you company has a clone template, meaning a company specific project template). The demo project only in German available. Ask the Support Team for an English demo project.
  3. Proceed with "Next".

  4. Enter the "Project name".
  5. Enter a "Short label" for the project. The label is used in the subject of notification e-mails instead of the project name. This is very helpful, if you use e.g. a long project name or only a project number.
  6. Enter a "Project e-mail". Pay attention to the note at the end of this article.
  7. Add a project logo if required.
  8. Finally create your project with "Finalize". You can change all these settings later on in the "Project profile".

  9. Your project will be listed on the Start page under "My projects".

icon-achtung-blau-web.jpg Note: It is possible to archive e-mails, which you did not receive in pm. but in your e-mail program (e.g. Outlook or Lotus Notes), into the project space using the "project e-mail" address. We distinguish two different cases:

  1. You have received an e-mail which you want to file to pm. Just forward this e-mail without any comment to the "project e-mail" address. The original date and sender address will be taken over in the project space.
  2. You reply to an e-mail in your e-mail program and want to file your reply in pm. In this case just put the "project e-mail" address in Cc.
